Our Swimming Pool Maintenance Plans

Our maintenance plans are customized to meet your needs. Each plan includes the basics: water chemistry and quality, surface, skimmers and returns, and equipment and inventory management. We also offer free basic pool inspections.

Based on the type and condition of your pool, and your unique needs, we’ll build a maintenance plan and schedule to best care for your pool.

Pool Water Quality Monitoring

Chemical balancing and water quality monitoring are crucial to ensuring your pool is safe for swimming. A well-balanced pool is safe from bacteria and prevents algae growth.
Weekly water quality monitoring provides you with peace of mind. And if your pool ever needs something to balance out the chemical levels, we’ll take care of it and let you know exactly what we did.

Pool Finish

All pools, regardless of the finish, require maintenance. This includes regular brushing of the pool’s floor, walls and stairs, weekly skimming, and vacuuming.

As a part of your maintenance, our team will perform the pool finish services you need to extend the life of your pool. This also includes routine chemical inspections and balancing to prevent damage to your finish. Upon our inspection and cleaning, we’ll let you know if we spot any signs of concerns such as loose tiles, cracked plaster, or possible leak points. We’ll help with the repair too.

Filter System

Your pool’s filter system provides water cleanliness and safety by removing dirt, leaves, insects, and harmful contaminants in your pool’s water. In some cases, your pool’s sanitizers are added during circulation through the filter system as well as heating the water if you have a heated spa/pool combo.

Regular inspection and cleaning, as well as keeping up with necessary filter replacements, are some of the most important things you can do to protect your pool filter and extend its lifespan. When the filter system is running properly and efficiently, the water will be sparkling and inviting for everyone to enjoy!

Pool Skimmers and Returns

Pool skimmers and returns are critical to capturing larger debris like leaves, sticks, and grass in your pool. They also promote healthy water circulation. Our team specializes in maintaining all makes and models of pool skimmers and returns to make pool maintenance even easier.

Equipment and Inventory Management

Maintaining your swimming pool is much more than just checking the pool’s chlorine levels and scoping out leaves. While they are important maintenance tasks, so is your pool’s equipment and inventory management.

Our team has the experience, knowledge, and organizational skills needed to ensure your space is organized correctly and supplied with everything you and our team need to keep your pool in check. Rest assured, whether you’re low on a certain chemical or need a brush replaced, we’ll handle it with ease.

Pool Inspections

Whether you’re in the process of buying a home or just inherited a new space with a pool, it’s important to have it inspected by a team of pool professionals.

During a professional pool inspection, our team will review and assess the condition of the pool’s:

  • Pump and motor
  • Timer or automation system
  • Decking
  • Filter
  • Heater
  • Tile
  • Coping
  • Valves (automatic and manual)
  • Automatic pool cleaner
  • Pool/spa light operation
  • Fencing
  • And more!

Put our decades of experience to work during your pool inspection. We’ll deliver a thorough report on the quality of the pool in question. From identifying how efficient the pool is running to identifying any pool defects we found, you’ll be able to make your next decision with confidence.

The Importance of Regular Pool Maintenance

Pool maintenance is critical to the safety, enjoyment, and longevity of your pool. Our maintenance service plans are designed to:

  • Promote Safety – Regular pool maintenance is the easiest way to make sure your pool is clean and safe for your family and friends to enjoy. If your pool’s water chemistry gets unbalanced, swimmers could develop skin and eye irritations.
  • Protect Equipment – Routine maintenance not only reduces the burden on your pool’s equipment, but proper maintenance can extend its lifespan. Maintenance can also save you time and money by preventing future damage.
  • Prevent Damage – The sooner any cracks in your pool’s sides are caught, the quicker and easier they can be fixed.
  • Keep Water Clean – If your filter or pool chemicals are not maintained, your pool will become an unsafe place to swim due to debris and bacteria growth.

Swimming Pool Maintenance Service FAQs

How often should I have my pool maintained?

We recommend scheduling weekly maintenance, but this depends on your pool's style, size, and age. We can help you establish a customized plan that is perfect for your pool’s needs.

What is the cost of pool maintenance plans?

The cost of pool maintenance depends on factors like pool size, service frequency, pool use, and how much work you do on your own. Larger, poorly maintained pools will require our team to do more work when they come for the scheduled maintenance.

How often should I put chlorine in the pool?

The ideal chlorine level for most residential pools should be between 1.0 and 3.0 ppm. If your levels aren’t right, you may need a chlorine shock or add a chlorine-neutralizing chemical to get things back to normal. You can determine the exact amount and frequency of chlorine needed by the volume of water, frequency of use, and the number of hours the pool spends in direct sunlight.

Is it better to run a pool pump at night or day?

There are varying opinions on this, however, it is always best to run your pool pump during the day, specifically at the hottest time of the day. The sun eats away at your chlorine, so running things during the day gives the chlorine a chance to do its job instead of standing in a still pool being depleted by the sun. If you have people in the pool during the day, running the pump can suck up any foliage brought in and filter out sunscreen residue and other bacteria.

What happens if you don't backwash your pool filter?

It’s important to backwash your pool filter about once a week unless otherwise directed by a professional pool technician. Backwashing plays an important role in your pool’s cleanliness and sanitization by reversing the flow of the filter and flushing out the captured dirt, debris, and other contaminants. If you ignore this maintenance task, the water circulation in the pool will be reduced, possibly to a point of stagnation. Stagnant water can quickly fill with contaminants and become murky and unsafe for swimming, and filter pressure may build up to a point that is not safe. This pressure can put your filter at risk of bursting, and this safety hazard has been known to cause bodily harm!
