Why Monmouth County Homeowners Choose ASP - America's Swimming Pool Company of Northeast Jersey Shore
We’ve been serving Monmouth County homeowners for more than 20 years, and our 5-star Google rating reflects the relationships we’ve built along the way. Every certified pool professional on our team goes through rigorous training and a background check before setting foot on your property. When you call, a real person answers and gets back to you the same day.
What genuinely sets us apart is what happens after the pool is built. The same company that installs your pool handles your cleaning, repairs, remodeling, and ongoing maintenance season after season. There’s no tracking down separate contractors when something needs attention. Our proprietary technology keeps you informed about your pool’s health between visits so you know what’s going on. Everything we do comes back to four values: integrity, superior knowledge, customer focus, and excellence.
Inground Pool Types We Build
We work with homeowners to find the right pool for their space, budget, and how they plan to use it. Here’s a quick look at the three main inground pool types:
Inground Pool with a Vinyl Liner
Vinyl-lined pools use steel wall panels or poured concrete walls fitted with a vinyl liner available in a wide range of colors and styles. They’re a popular choice for homeowners who want design flexibility at a more accessible price point than custom concrete. The liner will need replacement over time, typically every 7 to 10 years, and we handle that as part of our ongoing service. We’ve completed vinyl liner recovery projects in Manalapan and Wall.
Fiberglass Inground Pool
Fiberglass inground pools are strong, lightweight, and installed in one piece, making them the fastest installation option we offer. A fiberglass pool can be swim-ready in as few as 2 to 4 weeks from excavation. Shapes and sizes are determined by manufacturer offerings, so customization is more limited than concrete, but the range of available styles covers most homeowners’ needs well. In 2024, we completed a fiberglass pool installation in Holmdel that included a full stamped concrete patio.
Concrete Inground Pool Construction
Concrete inground pools are the most durable and customizable option. A rebar framework supports a concrete shell that can take nearly any freeform or geometric shape, with interior finishes ranging from plaster, pebble, and quartz to glass bead, plus tile along the perimeter. After the interior finish is applied, a startup phase of 28 days is required before the pool is ready for use. During your consultation, we can talk through whether concrete construction is the right fit for your site and goals.
Our Pool Installation Process
We coordinate all trades throughout your project: excavation, plumbing, electrical, and decking. You’re not managing a list of separate contractors. Here’s what to expect at each stage:
Consult with You
We survey your potential pool site, review your options, and walk through the pros and cons of each pool type for your specific space. We can give you an estimated completion timeline during this conversation.
Prepare the Site
Every inground pool requires site work and plumbing before construction begins. We level and excavate the site to the specifications of your chosen pool type.
Install the Pool
The process varies by pool type. For a fiberglass pool, the shell is lowered into the excavated space. For concrete inground pools, we build a rebar framework before applying shotcrete. For vinyl-lined pools, the liner is fitted into the wall panel system. Vinyl liner pools typically go from excavation to swim-ready in about 30 days.
Fill & Balance
We fill the pool and balance chemical levels to get the water ready for use. For concrete pools, this follows the 28-day startup phase after the interior finish is applied.
Permits & Planning in Monmouth County, NJ
New Jersey state law requires permits for any pool capable of holding 24 inches or more of water. Inground pools need both a construction permit and zoning approval, and each Monmouth County municipality runs its own permitting process with its own timeline. We handle all local permit applications for you, including township-specific requirements in Manalapan, Wall, and Holmdel covering fencing, setbacks, electrical, and grading. Barrier requirements, including 4-foot minimum fencing with self-closing, self-latching gates, are part of what we manage.
Spring and summer are peak construction seasons in New Jersey. Homeowners who plan ahead and get permits moving early may be more likely to be swimming by summer. If you’re thinking about a pool for next season, now is the right time to reach out.
Pool Installation Pricing in Monmouth County
Above-ground pools start at $9,999.99. Inground pool construction starts at $39,999.99. Final pricing depends on pool size, type, material selections, site conditions, and local permit requirements, and we walk through all of it during the consultation so you have a clear picture before any work begins.
An inground pool can increase a Monmouth County home’s value by 5 to 7%. With the county’s median home price around $705,000, that translates to roughly $35,000 to $49,000 in potential added value: a purchase your family enjoys every day and an investment that can hold real weight in this market.
One Partner for the Life of Your Pool
Installation is just the beginning. Concrete pools typically need refinishing every 10 to 20 years. Vinyl liners generally need replacement every 7 to 10 years. Equipment needs regular attention to perform through New Jersey’s full seasonal cycle. We handle all of it: pool cleaning, repairs, deck repairs and remodeling services, liner repair and replacement, and pool inspections.
Our technicians arrive on the same day each week for scheduled maintenance, leave your property clean, and make sure gates are closed securely on the way out. You won’t manage multiple contractors or wonder who to call when something comes up. We’re already there.
