1. Water Safety for Parents and Caregivers

The American Red Cross Training Services offers a FREE online course that focuses on water safety preparedness. This online course can be completed at any time and works with your schedule.

2. Pool Exercises for Strength Building

Use the waters resistance to build strength and power. Pool water exercises are a great way to give you a total body workout without putting stress on your joints.

  • Start with a 3-minute warm up
  • Circuit 1: 10 – 15 reps of each exercise
  • Repeat circuit 3 times
  • Rest for 1 minute
  • Circuit 2: 10-15 reps of each exercise
  • Repeat circuit 3 times
  • End with a 3-minute cool down.

Basketball

Practice your basketball skills in the pool with a basketball hoop that is designed for use in your swimming pool.

Noodle Joust

Have two players sit on a large float and give each player one pool noodle. Let the players joust with the noodles until one player is knocked off the float. The player who remains on the float is the winner.

Dance Competition

Show off your best dance moves in the water to your favorite songs. Use pool lights, water effects, speakers, and other waterproof objects to blow away the competition.
