Why Choose ASP - America's Swimming Pool Company of Carmel for Pool Cover Installation

Our relationship as an Automatic Pool Covers, Inc. dealer means we install the products their engineering team designed, not generic alternatives. Our technicians are certified pool professionals who complete background checks and ongoing training before stepping onto your property. When we show up to install, we work cleanly and leave your deck exactly as we found it.

AutoGuard™ Systems We Install

We install three Automatic Pool Covers, Inc. systems, each designed for a different deck configuration and aesthetic preference.

AutoGuard™ Top Track

The track mounts above the pool deck surface, making it a straightforward fit for most pool configurations. It’s a practical choice when deck remodeling isn’t part of the project.

Deck Mount AutoGuard™

This system installs on top of your existing deck, with the cover and mechanism enclosed in a multi-purpose housing. It’s a practical option for pools that weren’t originally built with a track system in place.

AutoGuard™ Under Track

The track recesses beneath the deck for the most low-profile appearance of the three systems. If a seamless, uninterrupted deck look matters to you, this is worth discussing during your consultation.

What an Automatic Pool Cover Does for Your Pool

Automatic covers open and close with a button press or key turn. No pulling, folding, or wrestling with a cover before your morning swim. That daily ease matters more than most pool owners expect, and the practical benefits can stack up quickly from there.

• Safety barrier: A properly installed automatic cover acts as a physical barrier that can reduce the risk of unsupervised access to the water, an important consideration for households with young children or pets.
• Heat retention: Covering the pool slows heat loss overnight and between uses, which can reduce heating costs over the season.
• Water conservation: Covers dramatically reduce evaporation, meaning fewer refills and less strain on your water bill.
• Reduced maintenance: Less debris in the water means fewer chemicals and less time cleaning between uses.

Automatic covers that meet the ASTM F1346 safety standard are tested specifically for pool cover safety performance. When you call, ask us about the standards the AutoGuard™ systems meet.

Automatic Covers vs. Other Pool Cover Types

Manual pool covers are pulled across the pool by hand and stored off to the side when not in use. Solar covers are floating covers designed mainly for heat retention and evaporation reduction, not safety. Mesh safety covers are anchored with straps around the deck perimeter and removed manually each season. All three require physical effort every time you use them.

Automatic covers are often the one type you’ll actually use every day because the effort is nearly zero. We install automatic pool covers. If you arrived here looking for a different cover type, we’d still encourage you to ask us about automatic covers before deciding. For many pool owners, the daily convenience and added safety can make the upgrade worthwhile.

What the Installation Process Involves

Installation centers on fitting the appropriate AutoGuard™ track system along the edges of your pool to guide the cover as it opens and closes. The track style (top, deck mount, or under track) determines how the system integrates with your existing deck. Our team can walk through the right fit with you before any work begins, and we complete the installation so the cover operates smoothly and seats securely over the pool surface. This service is part of our broader pool installation and remodeling services, so if your project involves more than a cover, we can handle it as a single engagement.
